Economic Development & Advocacy Committee

The Economic Development & Advocacy Committee works with elected officials, community leaders, Chamber Members, and other organizations to shape policies that help to promote business creation, sustainability, and growth. Areas of focus include jobs, employment and business retention that stimulates overall economic growth, and improves the quality of life in the region.

All committee meetings are held at the Chamber. Join committee members at 7:30 am for networking and a light breakfast. Meetings take place from 8:00 am - 9:15 am.

Small Business Resource

The Small Business Resource subcommittee compiles resources and tools for the benefit of small business owners that assist them in growing and strengthening their businesses. The subcommittee provides two annual workshops for small business Chamber members that address small business issues such as cybersecurity, exit/succession planning, and social media strategies.

Workforce Development & Education

The Workforce Development & Education subcommittee helps connect San Diego businesses to the resources they need to equip their employees for success, and thereby strengthen the region’s workforce as a whole. The subcommittee provides two annual workshops for Chamber members that address professional development topics such as career counseling, designing an effective internship, and training for first-time managers.


The Marketing subcommittee is responsible for distributing Committee resources and action items to the greater Chamber membership.
